Hello! My name is Celal. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Colorado and a Level 3 trained Certified IFS (Internal Family Systems) therapist and consultant.
After working in an agency setting for over four years, I started my private practice in 2016 to continue growing into a more authentic version of myself, both personally and professionally. For me, the personal is professional; I feel most satisfied with my work when I can present myself as I am, while adhering to the professional boundaries and ethical guidelines of my field.
With clients, I am warm, curious, engaged, and compassionate. I strive to be relatively transparent (when appropriate), intuitive, accepting, gentle, well-attuned, and present. Most importantly, the feedback I receive from my clients confirms that they feel safe, fully accepted, and understood during our sessions together.
Needless to say, this does not mean that the therapeutic relationship is always smooth. Like any relationship, it has its ups and downs. However, I want to reassure you that these challenges are okay. Difficult moments in therapy can be deeply beneficial—as long as we are willing to use them to repair what has been broken or ruptured.
Although I cannot promise that our work together will always be easy, I can promise that I will do my best to listen with compassion and strive to understand you from your perspective. I will take full responsibility for my words, offer reassurance when appropriate, and help you clarify your values. I am here to assist you in discovering your own inner sanity and learning more effective ways to move through life without creating extra suffering. Most importantly, I am here to help create a therapeutic environment in which you can gradually become more of who you are and practice how you want to be in the world.
Note: The letter “C” in my name sounds like a “J.”
