Appreciate Your Parts
Thank the part of you that gets you out of bed every single day.
Thank the part of you that lets you get out of bed every single day even though it would rather sleep than be awake.
Thank the part of you that makes sure that you brush your teeth and take a shower everyday.
Thank the part of you that makes sure that you use the bathroom as needed.
Thank the part of you that makes sure that you eat.
Thank the part of you that works very hard to make sure that you show up to your appointments on time.
Thank the part of you that smiles at people.
Thank the part of you that says, “Good morning” to people.
Thank the part of you that makes sure that all the bills are paid on time.
Thank the part of you that takes you out for a walk.
Thank the part of you that responds to messages and returns phone calls in a timely manner.
Thank the part of you that goes to work everyday to make sure that you have a roof over your head.
Thank the part of you that lets you go to work everyday even though it would rather do something more fulfilling.
Thank the part of you that finds humor in things.
Thank the part of you that cooks for you.
Thank the part of you that does the dishes for you.
Thank the part of you that cleans the house for you.
Thank the part of you that opens the windows to air the house.
Thank the part of you that makes sure that there is enough gas in the gas tank.
Thank the part of you that makes you read.
Thank the part of you that makes you meditate.
Thank the part of you that makes you exercise.
Thank the part of you that makes sure that you have enough sleep.
Thank the part of you that stops you from drinking too much coffee after a certain time.
Thank the part of you that sets boundaries in your personal and professional relationships to protect you.
Thank the part of you that pushes you to hang out with good friends and stops you from isolating.
Thank the part of you that dreams about the future.
Thank the part of you that makes you plan and prepare for the future.
Thank the part of you that waters the plants.
Thank the part of you that takes the dogs out for a walk.
Thank the PARTS of you for making sure that you are functioning relatively well in your day to day life.
And please remember that if you are able to do majority of these things on a relatively regular basis, your parts are doing a great job. Show appreciation. Let them know that you see them, you feel them and you are grateful for their existence. And always remember that appreciating our parts is as important as appreciating others in our lives.
